Little Lucia (who is thirteen, and not little anymore, thank you very much) loves superheroes, and she can't wait to get to the comic book store to find costumes for Black Widow and Hawkeye. There's only one problem... There are no costumes for Black Widow and Hawkeye, and the guy at the cash register refuses to take her seriously.

Adrian is too old for superheroes anymore, a fact his little sister, Lucia, won't stop pestering him about, so when he gets roped into driving Lucia and her friend to a comic convention, he expects to spend the whole day bored out of his mind. Things don't turn out exactly as he planned.

First, while out as Blackhawk, Lucia stumbles into something she can only describe as a ghost, and now... As her panic grows, so too does her certainty: she alone can see this corruption, which means she alone can stop them... or die trying.

SHIPPING & NSFW: I’m down for shipping as long as the characters are compatible in ages/sexualities and we think they have chemistry. However, while I may be an adult, I’m not comfortable rping sex in detail, especially since most of these characters originated as kids when I started writing them. Even in their adult verses, fade-to-black is as far as I'll go. Other mature subjects, such as violence, gore, etc., are alright and will be tagged as triggers if they go beyond canon-typical.

RP STYLE & FORMATTING: Pretty much anything goes. One-liners, paragraphs, dialogue only, fully plotted starters, off the cuff interactions—I’m fine with anything. However, I do have a habit of doubling thread lengths without meaning to, so never feel pressured to match my length when that happens. I typically use 100x100px icons and no fancy formatting, but I’ll try to match whatever formatting/style you’re using.

MULTIMUSE: If you send/tag me in stuff, please specify who your intended recipient is. If not, I’ll probably just default to Lucia, unless someone else sparks my muse. If I forget to specify in asks I send you, feel free to pick whoever you want or default to Lucia too. (Sorry, I can be pretty forgetful sometimes.)

ACTIVITY: Sometimes I’m really fast with replies, other times I’m nowhere to be seen for weeks/months at a time. It just depends on my mood and current hyperfixation. Sorry.

ORIGIN STORY — CHILDHOOD
Lucia is a middle schooler on a mission: become a teen superhero. Why? When she was ten, Hawkeye and Black Widow saved her school bus from a rampaging monster, and it changed her life forever. She’s a little foggy on the hows and whens of becoming a superhero, and her efforts to do so mostly involve reading a bunch of comic books with her best friend, Julie. Her older brother, Adrian, claims he’s too old for superheroes now, but really his new crush just thinks they’re lame. Meanwhile, a girl named Bridger has been handed over to Hydra in secret for accidentally setting a certain rampaging monster loose on the streets of Brooklyn using powers she doesn't understand. She is forged into a weapon and used to keep Baron Strucker's test subjects—including the Maximoff twins—in line.

GIANT-SIZE LITTLE MARVEL — TEENAGE YEARS
Adrian has rediscovered his geekiness with the help of “she’s not my girlfriend” Jackie, a cashier at the local comic book store, which just so happens to be the same store frequented by Phil Coulson, former director of SHIELD. Now in high school, Lucia starts a correspondence with him that quickly leads to a guaranteed spot in the newly reinstated SHIELD Academy once she graduates. She’s learned archery and taekwondo, and with a little training she knows she would make an excellent agent. Meanwhile, Julie runs a superhero news blog, and Adrian frets about college and a long distance relationship with Jackie. Bridger—whose handlers barely escaped with her after the Avengers attacked Strucker's base—remains under the last shreds of Hydra's control. A doctor named Joe goes through Terrigenesis and emerges with unwanted power over life and death.

INFINITY SAGA — THE BLIP
Infinity War. Julie and Jackie are gone, and the Castillo siblings, like the rest of the world, have to pick up the pieces of their broken lives. Adrian drifts away from the world of superheroes again—it reminds him too much of Jackie—and buries himself in his schoolwork at NYU. And Lucia? Lucia becomes Blackhawk. She lets her schoolwork fall by the wayside as she dons a black hoodie and a domino mask and roams the streets of NYC, her bow and arrows slung over her back, in search of villains to fight. She meets Joe, who helps keep her in one piece despite the fact that he's just as out of his depth as she is. Eventually, Lucia scrapes by enough passing grades to graduate high school and joins SHIELD, while Adrian graduates from NYU with honors and joins a MLB team. Meanwhile, Bridger has used the chaos of the Snap to escape, and she wants revenge not only on Hydra but on the whole human race.

AGENTS OF SHIELD — POST-ENDGAME
Julie and Jackie are back after the events of Endgame, and they have to adjust to a world five years out of sync with them. Julie finishes her last two years in high school, while Lucia’s already a fully-fledged agent of SHIELD. Instead of pursuing a college degree as her parents (and, previously, Julie herself) expected, Julie joins Lucia at SHIELD right out of high school as a Communications/Sci-Tech trainee. Bridger lands on SHIELD's radar, and Lucia is assigned to the team tasked with taking her down, but the more she uncovers about Bridger's past the less she wants to hurt her. Meanwhile, Joe briefly moves to New Jersey to get away from the superpowered chaos of NYC and has the bad luck of choosing Westview as his new home. Jackie drops out of college and moves in with Adrian to recover from the Snap. She starts a comic book YouTube channel to pass the time, which eventually gains enough followers to catch the eye of a major comic book publisher.

META ISSUE — ADULT YEARS (NEAR-FUTURE)
After Lucia's SO in the Bridger investigation orders her to kill Bridger, she and Bridger go on the run instead to track down the last of Bridger's ex-Hydra targets and arrest them. SHIELD hesitantly allows Lucia to return after a suspension and probationary period. Julie, in her relief at getting Lucia back, acts on the feelings she's been trying to ignore for over a year now. Inspired by Julie and Lucia, Adrian finally does what he's wanted to do since the Snap, and he and Jackie get married. Bridger sticks around and becomes one of the good guys (most of the time), though she'll never join SHIELD due to her history with its previous incarnation... Despite the rocky start, Lucia and the Blackhawk Comics Gang are happy.

NEW AVENGERS — DECADES IN THE FUTURE
It’s the year 20XX, and little Lucia’s all grown up now, with a new name, a new job title, and a new suit. The old guard has either died or retired from the business, and a new generation of superheroes have stepped up to the plate. Going by Magpie now, and wearing a suit made up of elements from several different heroes instead of just Black Widow and Hawkeye, Lucia’s a New Avenger!

VARIANT COVERS — TVA VARIANT
So far, there are only a few variants of Lucia that catch the attention of the TVA. The most significant of them emerges at the end of the Bridger investigation, when Lucia hesitates a second too long, and—because of her inaction—Bridger is killed. The TVA pulls Lucia aside during her processing to question her about Bridger, whose Variant has just warranted an analyst assigned to her case. They give Lucia an ultimatum: either assist in bringing Bridger's Variant to TVA justice or be reset. Lucia begrudgingly chooses to play along with them... for now.
